Senior AI Product Manager

Industry & Sector: Fast-scaling education-technology (EdTech) company focused on career-oriented developer training, placement enablement, and skills-first hiring solutions. We build learner-facing products and employer integrations that leverage AI/ML to improve outcomes across learning, assessment, and job placement.

Role (Location: India — On-site) — Primary title (optimized): Senior Product Manager — AI/ML

Role & Responsibilities

• Define and own the AI/ML product roadmap: translate business goals into prioritized features, measurable success metrics, and release plans for learner and employer-facing products.
• Turn user and business problems into concrete AI use-cases: write clear product requirements, acceptance criteria, and data contracts for model development and evaluation.
• Partner with Data Science, ML Engineering, and Data Engineering to design experiments, supervise model training & validation, and operationalize models into production.
• Lead pilot programs and A/B tests; analyze results to iterate quickly and drive measurable improvements in conversion, retention, assessment accuracy, or placement metrics.
• Own model lifecycle in production: monitoring, drift detection, retraining triggers, performance SLAs, and rollback criteria in collaboration with MLOps.
• Champion responsible AI practices: ensure privacy, fairness checks, documentation (model cards), and stakeholder alignment across product, legal, and ops teams.

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

• Proven track record owning and shipping AI/ML product features or models to production.
• Hands-on familiarity with model evaluation and monitoring, and designing ML experiments.
• Strong analytic skills with SQL or equivalent for deriving insights and measuring product impact.
• Experience running A/B tests and interpreting experiment results to guide product decisions.
• Comfort working closely with Data Science and MLOps teams to define data requirements and deployment criteria.

Preferred

• Prior experience with generative AI/LLMs and prompt engineering in product contexts.
• Experience in EdTech, assessment platforms, or hiring/placement marketplaces.
• Familiarity with cloud ML platforms and MLOps tooling (e.g., MLflow, SageMaker, Vertex AI).
